Mangle rack clock

Started: October 2021 Completed: April 2022 Released: May 2022 I made a clock using mangle rack mechanism. For more information, please watch the video.

Rotary Engine

Started: July 2020 Completed: August 2020 Released: August 2020 This is a model of a rotary engine (Wankel engine) made with Lego bricks. The model is based on the Mazda 13B-MSP “RENESIS” engine, which is mounted in the car Mazda RX-8. This model is submitted to the Lego Ideas (August 19). I would like to ask your support: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/d27897a4-50c0-4702-9e6d-deea5652110a

Reuleaux triangle mechanisms

Started: July 2020 Completed: July 2020 Released: July 2020 I made a Reuleaux triangle with Lego. The Reuleaux triangle is obtained by drawing an arc around each vertex of an equilateral triangle. By using a 1×4 curved slope, I was able to create a fairly accurate Reuleaux triangle. I made the square frame with the Reuleaux triangle inside.  The Reuleaux triangle can be rotated while inscribed in the square, because it has a constant width.  I devised a gear that makes Reuleaux ‘s triangle revolve.   The luminescent round tile is attached to the top of the triangle. In a long-exposure photo, the trajectory is a square with rounded corners.   The mechanism in which the Reuleaux triangle rotates around its vertex. The yellow-green frame draws a square trajectory. Here’s a further development. The square frame with arms rotates while engaging the pins. The last mechanism is based on the following videos: Title: sankakukanketu (2014) Author: araieng URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUP5bylFJgc Title: Reuleaux Triangle Intermittent Pins Mechanism 3D Model (2016) Author: trinityscsp URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HUVuycpaiY

Spacecraft Elevator

Started: March 2020 Completed: April 2020 Released: May 2020 I built a science fiction spacecraft elevator. The doors on the floor open, and the spacecraft ascends to the stage. All the doors and elevator are moved together mechanically by only one rotational power. A hand-driven handle or a single motor can be chosen as the power source. A feature of this model, which is shown below, is that, when the door is closed, the door and floor are flush with each other. At first glance, there seems to be nothing in this space . When I first developed this flush door mechanism, I decided to make a model. It was very challenging to make this mechanism work smoothly. Instructions, the CAD data set, and part lists are available for this model; the instructions and CAD data set require payment, while part lists are free. Instructions and CAD data set are available upon payment, which you can transfer via PayPal. Once your payment has been completed and confirmed by PayPal, an automatic reply email will deliver the download URL. A motorized version can be built by referring to the YouTube video. The model will need to be adjusted after it is completed. The adjustment method can be found on page 58 of the instructions (please refer to the YouTube video). The instructions are intended for persons who have experience assembling Lego Technic. You must not copy and distribute the instructions, CAD data, and part lists.
