All the doors and elevator are moved together mechanically by only one rotational power. A hand-driven handle or a single motor can be chosen as the power source. A feature of this model, which is shown below, is that, when the door is closed, the door and floor are flush with each other. At first glance, there seems to be nothing in this space . When I first developed this flush door mechanism, I decided to make a model. It was very challenging to make this mechanism work smoothly. A motorized version can be built by referring to the YouTube video. The model will need to be adjusted after it is completed. The adjustment method can be found on page 58 of the instructions (please refer to the YouTube video). The instructions are intended for persons who have experience assembling Lego Technic.
